Maps & Brochure
The Hawker Seismograph is maintained by the Teague family.
Earthquake 15th June 2003 at 8.05pm magnitude 2.5.
Our seismograph is a remote analogue unit with the seismometer approximately 20 Kms away. The two units are connected via a radio link. The paper on the drum is changed every 24 or 25 hours. The paper is printed both sides and the sheets are sent to Adelaide each week.
The ink flows from a small bottle through a very small hole in the pen to write on the paper.
Call in and have a look at this interesting piece of equipment, take a look at our book of earthquakes recorded.
